about
In late 2019 right before the world stopped, Way and his dream team spent a week recording in his then home Old Man Mountain, a little shack on a hill in the farm country of his home town of Langley BC.
Angels And Ashes is the first single off the album that they crafted in that small shack on the Canadian coastal country. Angels And Ashes isn't to fare away from the energy that Way's long time band The Wild North has in their rock anthems but this new sound comes with all the fixings of a well greased county bar band. This is the type of song that keeps you drinking or dancing, that gives you the feeling of rolling the window down on the open road and dreaming whats over the horizon.
lyrics
True love ain't no Hollywood romances, true love it dances.
On the top notes of a broken heart.
We were dancing like the house was on fire, hellbent on a burning desire.
The devil only knows the life we choose.
Angels and ashes, car crashes and second chances have all passed me by.
These two time losers, full time boozers, are my kind.
I knew an angel with golden wings, she traded them in so she could sing.
Now she’s blowing you kisses through her smoke rings.
It was a full moon when we met, and I was taking bets, never start gambiling with a heart that's rambling.
I haven't learned yet
Angels and ashes, car crashes and second chances have all passed me by.
These two time losers, full time boozers, are my kind.
Angels and ashes, car crashes and second chances have all passed me by.
These two time losers, full time boozers, are my kind.
Angels and ashes, car crashes and second chances have all passed me by.
These two time losers, full time boozers, are my kind.
Haven't learned yet.
No, I haven't learned yet.
Haven’t learned yet.
Haven’t learned yet.
